Coronavirus: Supreme Committee announces new rules

The Supreme Committee has decided to extend the closure of all commercial activities while allowing the movement of individuals, vehicles in all governorates of the Sultanate between 8pm to 5am, starting on Thursday, 8th April until the first day of Ramadan.

The Supreme Committee also urges private sector companies to implement remote work plans and reduce the number of employees who are required to come to workplaces. 

For the month of Ramadan, The Supreme Committee has decided to ban all commercial activities and movement of individuals and vehicles between 9pm and 4am during the holy month of Ramadan, prayers won’t be held at mosques during this time too. 

Gatherings including mass iftars, social, sports and cultural activities will all be suspended during Ramadhan.

Entering the Sultanate will be restricted to Omani citizens and residence holders from midday on Thursday, 8th April.
