Coronavirus: Tourism in Oman hit with Half a billion OMR loss due to Covid-19

The Supreme Committee for dealing with Covid-19 met on Thursday 10th, December to discuss the impact Covid-190 has had on the tourism sector in Oman. HE Maitha Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism & Heritage for Tourism announced that there had been a loss of Half a billion OMR recorded in the tourism sector until last September. 

The R.O.P also clarified the procedure for those wanting to travel to and from Oman: “Among the conditions of exempting nationals of the 103 countries from getting entry visas to the Sultanate for a period of 10 days is the requirement of having health insurance, a return ticket & a confirmed hotel reservation.”
