Coronavirus: Mandatory institutional quarantine for all arrivals in Oman

The Supreme Committee for dealing with Covid-19 has decided on mandatory institutional quarantine for all arrivals through land, sea and airports on the passenger's own expenses as many have previously not complied with home quarantines and others violated the procedures approved by the Supreme Committee.

There is also now a ban on all forms of gatherings at rest houses, farms and winter camps. The public has also been told to avoid family gatherings inside houses. 

Service halls, public and private establishments as well as shopping centres, restaurants, coffees and indoor sports activities, have been told to reduce their capacity by 50 per cent, starting from Friday, 12th February until further notice.

The Supreme Committee for dealing with Covid-19 has also agreed to close all commercial activities in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate from 7pm to 6am starting Friday, 12th February for 14 days, with the exception of fuel stations, health institutions and private pharmacies.
