Harry Styles WON'T be in The Little Mermaid!
Sorry Directioners, but it's not happening after all. After loads of rumours and even tweets from two huge cinema brands, it's been confirmed that Harry Styles has turned down the role of Prince Eric in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.
According to sources close to the movie, they said Harry ‘is a fan of the project but respectfully declined’, after it was claimed early on Tuesday that he had been confirmed for the role. Fans have been campaigning for him to get the role – which, let’s be honest, he’s totally made for – since news of the remake was confirmed.
Javier Bardem is also said to be in talks to play Ariel’s father, King Triton, as well as Melissa McCarthy, Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina who are said to be auditioning for Ursula, Flounder and Scuttle.
