Muscat – The Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts, and Literature has announced the recipients of its prestigious 12th session, celebrating excellence across the Arab world with winners hailing from Morocco, Egypt, and Lebanon.
The awards, overseen by Oman, recognised leading figures and institutions following a ceremony attended by cultural dignitaries.
In the Culture Branch, the accolade for Private Cultural Institutions was presented to the Asilah Forum Foundation from Morocco. The foundation was praised for its long-standing commitment to fostering intellectual and artistic exchange.
The Arts Branch saw Egyptian talent shine, with the prize for the Sculpture category awarded to renowned sculptor Essam Mohamed Sayed Darwish.
Finally, the Literature Branch honoured Lebanese writer Hikmat al-Munjid al-Sabbagh, known by her pen name Yumna Al-Eid, for her outstanding contributions in the Autobiography field.
The announcement confirms the award’s standing as a major platform for celebrating intellectual and creative contributions across the region.
