Extreme weather warning announced in Oman

The General Administration of Civil Defense has posted a weather warning.

Because of the increase in temperatures during the coming days between 47 and 50 degrees Celsius.

These are some warnings and cautions ...

Cars must be evacuated from:

1- gaseous materials.

2- Lighters.

3- Soft drinks.

4- Perfumes and device batteries in general.

5- The windows of the car should be opened in a simple manner (Tasim).

6- Failure to fill the car’s fuel tank completely

7- Filling the car’s fuel in the evening.

8- Not to travel by car during the morning period.

9- Not to fill in car tyres more than necessary, especially when traveling.

Be careful of scorpions and snakes, as they will leave their burrows significantly and may enter farms and homes to look for a refrigerator.

Drink more water and fluids.

Take care not to operate water heaters.

Take care not to put gas cylinders in the sun.

Ensure that there are no increased loads on electricity meters and that the air conditioners are not operating except in the whereabouts of the family, especially at times of peak heat.

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the period from 10 am to 3 pm.

Putting water cans in windows, squares, fences, farms and balconies.  This is to quench the thirst of birds, cats and other animals ...
