The Arab-European Centre of Human Rights has awarded His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said with the Arab Human Rights Award 2016 for his noble contributions in the field of protection and support of human rights on not only local levels but also regionally and internationally. 

His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said collected the award at his office when he hosted the Secretary-General of the Arab-European Centre of Human Rights.
