Rita Ora announces she will be joining the Disney family
Rita Ora is going to be in Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' prequel series!
The series will star Josh Gad and Luke Evans, as the pair reprise their roles of LeFou and Gaston from the live-action movie starring Emma Watson in 2017. Therefore, Rita will not be playing Belle.
Rita shared the news about her role on Instagram:
"I can’t keep the secret any longer! I’m beyond excited to be joining the cast of the Beauty and the Beast prequel series! As a child, I remember watching Beauty and the Beast with my family over and over and immediately falling in love with the music and characters. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined joining this fairytale world. To everyone that helped make this happen, I am forever grateful. Thank you to Disney+, my CAA squad - Dan, Joella, and Tracy - Shari, and my management family. Lately I just feel like all my dreams are coming true! Life is feeling like a Disney movie!"
Gary Marsh, the president and chief creative officer of Disney Branded Television explained the premise of the show: "For anyone who's ever wondered how a brute like Gaston and a goof like LeFou could have ever become friends and partners, or how a mystical enchantress came to cast that fateful spell on the prince-turned-beast, this series will finally provide those answers… and provoke a whole new set of questions."
We can't wait to see it!
