Amy Poehler and Tina Fey smashed it once again as hosts of the 78th Golden Globe Awards. 

The Golden Globes this year were a little different due to the pandemic. The hosts were in different locations with frontline workers as their live audience, whereas the celebrities were at home isolating. The pair made references to the controversial predominantly white nominees and showed off the technology of being in two places at once.

Winners included the satire film "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm", which premiered on Amazon (due to movie theatres being closed because of the pandemic). It was chosen as outstanding musical or comedy, with Sacha Baron Cohen also taking best actor in that category.

In television, Netflix's "The Crown" literally took the crown for the best drama for the second time (the last coming in 2017). The show also added acting honours for Josh O'Connor and Emma Corrin playing Prince Charles and Princess Diana, along with Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher.
