HBO made some big announcements yesterday, like changing the name of HBO Max to just plain Max.  (It's merging with Discovery+.)

But this might have been the BIGGEST piece of news:  That "Harry Potter" TV series will be a straight-up REMAKE.  Or, if you prefer, a reimagining of the books, with a brand-new cast.  There's no word yet on casting.

It'll also be more faithful to the original story, because they'll take an ENTIRE SEASON to cover each of the seven books. They're expecting this to play out over 10 years.
