Tom Cruise might still realise his dream of shooting a movie in outer space . . . but he won't be the first person to do it.

The Russians beat him to it.  

They just released a trailer for "The Challenge" . . . a movie they made on the International Space Station in 2021.

It's about a surgeon who has to perform heart surgery on a cosmonaut in orbit, because he can't return to Earth for treatment.  The surgeon is played by a Russian actress, but her patient is an actual Russian cosmonaut. The actress and her director underwent rigorous training before blasting off.  It took them about 12 days to shoot. It's due out in April.
