Muscat – A significant drug smuggling attempt at Muscat International Airport. In a coordinated operation, the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, working alongside the Muscat International Airport Directorate of Customs, arrested an Asian woman upon her arrival in the country.

The suspect was found to be in possession of a substantial quantity of marijuana, which had been concealed within her personal luggage. Officials confirmed that the individual intended to smuggle the illicit substances into the country for the purpose of trafficking. Following the discovery, the woman was taken into custody, and the Royal Oman Police have confirmed that the necessary legal proceedings are currently being finalised.
