Salalah – As part of the khareef season celebrations, Dhofar Municipality has launched the much-anticipated ‘Children’s Time’ activities at Awqad Public Park in Salalah, offering a blend of entertainment and education tailored for young visitors and families.

Running from July 1 to August 31, the event transforms the park into an immersive environment designed to engage children across various age groups through play, exploration and creative expression. The event features seven distinct themed zones that provide unique experiences ranging from physical challenges to imaginative play.

Among the attractions is ‘Adventure Forest’, which encourages movement and physical activity, while ‘Luminous Forest’ offers a visually captivating experience through artistic lighting and design.

‘Wonder Forest’ creates a whimsical atmosphere that sparks imagination, and ‘Fun Forest’ is filled with interactive games aimed at promoting laughter and joy.

Nature lovers can explore ‘Wild Forest’, inspired by wildlife themes, while ‘The Farm’ allows children to interact directly with animals and gain insight into rural life.

For those seeking a mental challenge, ‘Maze’ presents a fun and engaging test of problem-solving and quick thinking.

Beyond the themed zones, the event features a variety of food stalls offering a mix of local and international cuisine.

Visitors can also enjoy international shows and travelling carnivals, adding a global entertainment flavour to the celebration.

The schedule includes physical activities, creative workshops, cultural competitions, and theatrical performances that bring together learning and entertainment in an engaging format.

The municipality has equipped the site with comfortable seating areas and integrated service facilities to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.

‘The event reflects Dhofar Municipality’s commitment to promoting family tourism during the monsoon season, with special attention to involving small and medium enterprises that showcase local products and content aligned with the expectations of families and tourists,’ it stated.
