Muscat – In line with the Royal Directives aimed at enhancing social stability and easing financial pressures on young Omanis, Dhahirah has commenced disbursement of financial assistance to the first group of beneficiaries of the marriage fund initiative.
An official from the governorate confirmed that the initiative, implemented in response to the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, is designed to help young Omanis meet marriage expenses and start families.
In the first phase, financial support has been extended to 70 beneficiaries – 59 from the wilayat of Ibri, six from Dhank and five from Yanqul.
The fund, open to eligible Omani citizens residing in Dhahirah, provides financial aid to ease the costs associated with marriage. Applications are processed free of charge within 30 working days, provided all required documents are submitted.
To qualify, applicants must be residents of the governorate, aged between 22 and 45 years, unmarried, and earn a monthly income not exceeding RO600. Additionally, the marriage must be to an Omani national.
Required documents include a copy of the applicant’s identity card (both sides), a certified marriage contract and a salary certificate verified by the employer.
