Muscat – H E Khalid bin Hashel al Musalhi, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs in Foreign Ministry (FM), formally received a copy of the credentials from Miles Armitage, the newly appointed Australian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman.

The Undersecretary extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Armitage, expressing wishes for his success in his diplomatic duties and for continued progress and sustained growth in the bilateral relations shared between the two friendly nations. The meeting, which signifies the official commencement of the Ambassador’s tenure, was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed al Hosni, Head of Asian and Pacific Department in Foreign Ministry, alongside several other officials from both the Omani and Australian sides.
