Muscat – H E Dr Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health, conducted an inspection visit on Tuesday to the strategic pharmaceutical stock at Khazaen Economic City to assess the readiness of the warehouses, the efficiency of storage systems and the safety of procedures followed in managing essential medical supplies.
During the tour, H E Dr Al Sabti reviewed the mechanisms in place for the storage and preservation of medicines in accordance with approved standards, ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products. He was also briefed on emergency response plans designed to guarantee the continuity of medical supplies under various circumstances.
H E Dr Al Sabti underscored the importance of strengthening the strategic reserve of medicines and medical supplies to support Oman’s health security framework. He stressed the need to adhere to international best practices in supply chain and storage management, while enhancing logistical efficiency to meet future demands.
The visit forms part of the Ministry of Health’s ongoing efforts to ensure the preparedness of the strategic pharmaceutical stockpile and its capacity to meet the needs of healthcare institutions across the sultanate.
