Muscat – A Royal Decree was issued, formally ratifying a significant agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Iraq. The decree brings into effect a pact focusing on mutual visa exemption for citizens of both nations who are holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports.

The agreement aims to facilitate official travel and streamline procedures for government representatives, diplomats, and state employees, reflecting a commitment by both countries to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation across various sectors. The move is expected to boost political and administrative exchanges between Muscat and Baghdad. The specific terms of the visa waiver detail that those travelling on the designated official passports will no longer require a pre-arranged visa for entry into the other country.
