Ibra – Ibra Hospital has successfully performed its first ever arterial joint operations. The procedures were led by Dr. Ahmed al Alufi, Consultant Vascular Surgeon, who guided the team through successful operations.

In total, four separate arterial joint operations were successfully performed at the hospital, representing a major achievement in the scope of local healthcare services. The introduction of these operations means that patients in the North Sharqiyah Governorate, and surrounding areas, who require critical vascular interventions, can now receive treatment closer to home. Previously, patients needing such specialised care were routinely transferred to major hospitals in Muscat or other principal cities.

This landmark achievement not only elevates the hospital’s capabilities but also provides local residents with access to advanced vascular surgery, previously requiring transfer to larger medical centres. Dr. al Alufi’s leadership in this new initiative represents a major stride forward for healthcare provision in the area.
