Muscat – The Embassy of India in Muscat on Monday hosted the India-Oman Network for Trade and Economic Cooperation to bring together key stakeholders and business leaders from both countries to explore investment opportunities, business collaborations and trade avenues.

More than 100 business leaders, investors, diplomats and representatives of trade organisations attended the event, which focused on strengthening economic ties in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, technology, healthcare and food security. The objective of the network is to build long-term partnerships contributing to the growth of both economies.

Speaking at the event, H E G V Srinivas, India’s Ambassador to Oman, said, “India and Oman share long-standing relations built on trust, culture and economic partnership. This platform is not just about trade; it is about creating a network for collaboration and opportunities that benefit both our peoples. Oman is a valued partner in India’s growth journey, and we look forward to deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.”

H E Srinivas also underlined India’s readiness to facilitate investment opportunities for Omani stakeholders in diverse sectors, while encouraging Indian businesses to expand their presence in Oman.

Participants expressed optimism that the network would pave the way for projects in renewable energy, digital innovation and logistics – areas identified as priorities by both countries.

The India-Oman Network for Trade and Economic Cooperation is expected to become an annual platform for dialogue, reinforcing the strategic partnership between the two countries while driving innovation, investment and growth.
