Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, received a written message from President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid of the Republic of Iraq, conveying an official invitation to attend the 34th Arab Summit and the 5th Economic and Social Development Summit, scheduled to take place in the Republic of Iraq later this month.

The message was delivered during an audience granted to H E Dr Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, at Al Barakah Palace.

Discussions during the audience touched on the strong fraternal relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Iraq, and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.
