Muscat – The Directorate General of Khoula Hospital organized a public health event “Steps Toward Wellness” at the Royal Oman Police Station in Wattayah on Thursday.

The event was inaugurated under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Saeed bin Harib al Lamki, Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed al Alawi, Director General of Khoula Hospital, along with a number of officials, medical and allied health staff, and hospital employees.

The initiative drew wide participation from healthcare workers across Muscat Governorate, as well as volunteer teams and community members of various age groups.

The event aimed to reinforce healthy behaviors across society by delivering a set of programs and activities that highlighted the importance of physical movement, regular exercise, routine medical check-ups, and the prevention of chronic diseases.

The event featured educational stations, health activities, and outdoor demonstrations. The sections included direct consultation services for participants, vital-sign assessments, a healthy nutrition corner, and hands-on mini workshops on first aid.

 “Steps Toward Wellness” reflects Khoula Hospital’s commitment to promoting health awareness, strengthening the culture of prevention, and encouraging the community to adopt healthier lifestyles. It also supports national programs aimed at improving quality of life and fostering community partnerships to build a more informed and health-conscious society.
