Muscat – King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of the Kingdom of Bhutan received H E Issa Saleh Abdullah al Shibani as Oman’s Ambassador at the Tashichho Dzong Royal Palace in the capital, Thimphu. The audience took place during an official ceremony held for the Ambassador to present his credentials as the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bhutan. During the proceedings, His Excellency conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to the King of Bhutan, expressing hopes for his continued health and for the ongoing prosperity of the Bhutanese people.

In response, His Majesty the King expressed his sincere appreciation for the positive relations existing between the Kingdom of Bhutan and the Sultanate of Oman. He further emphasised Bhutan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both friendly nations. The diplomatic engagement underscores a shared desire to expand the scope of partnership and foster deeper cultural and economic connections between Thimphu and Muscat.
