Muscat – H E Dr Mohammed Said al Maamari, the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, received Rustam Minnikhanov, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, at his office in Muscat. The visit served as a platform to review the growing bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Tatarstan, with a specific focus on enhancing collaboration in the sectors of endowments and religious affairs. This meeting follows a series of consultations previously held in Tatarstan last November, aimed at building a robust framework for cultural and religious dialogue.
During the discussions, the two sides explored the exchange of technical expertise regarding the management of endowment institutions and the promotion of mutual understanding. Dr al Maamari provided an overview of Oman’s operational mechanisms for religious affairs, highlighting the Sultanate’s commitment to dialogue and the pursuit of common interests as a means of bridging differences. Rustam Minnikhanov commended the quality of religious facilities within Oman and expressed a strong desire to benefit from the Sultanate’s extensive experience in these fields to further enrich Tatarstan’s own institutions.
