Muscat – The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has reiterated its commitment to promoting safe and high-quality tourism in the Sultanate of Oman, with a particular focus on the adventure tourism sector. In an official statement, the ministry expressed appreciation for the licensed companies that continue to adhere to security and safety protocols.
To enhance transparency and ensure consumer trust, the ministry has called on all licensed adventure tourism companies and institutions to display their tourism license numbers clearly on all promotional materials, including social media profiles, advertisements, and tourism program announcements.
The Ministry stressed that this requirement is mandatory and aims to protect consumers from unlicensed operators while encouraging compliance with national tourism regulations. Companies found violating this directive may face legal accountability.
A full list of currently licensed adventure tourism providers is now available through the ministry’s website. Tourists and residents are encouraged to verify operators before booking any tourism services.
