Muscat – Ministry of Health (MoH) has appealed for immediate blood donations, specifically targeting individuals with O+ (O Positive) and A+ (A Positive) blood types. The Ministry indicated that these blood groups are in dire need at the present time.
To facilitate these crucial donations, the Ministry has provided the operating hours and locations of its main donation centres. The Central Blood Bank (Bausher) is accepting donations from Saturday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with adjusted hours on Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Additionally, the Seeb Blood Donation Center is operational from Sunday to Friday, between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM, offering evening donation opportunities. The Ministry of Health, through its Department of Blood Banks Services, stressed the importance of community response to this emergency requirement to ensure the continued availability of life-saving blood supplies.
