Muscat – Ministry of Health (MoH), Department of Blood Banks Services has issued an urgent call for citizens and residents to donate blood and platelets following the unexpected cancellation of several scheduled donation campaigns this week. In a statement released on December 28, health authorities emphasised their commitment to maintaining a steady supply of vital blood units and components for patients in need across the Sultanate.

To accommodate donors, the Central Blood Bank in Bausher remains open from Saturday to Thursday between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, with additional Friday hours from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Furthermore, the Seeb Blood Donation Centre at Al Araimi Boulevard is receiving donors from Sunday to Friday, between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Officials urge the public to continue their life-saving generosity to ensure medical facilities remain well-stocked during this period.
