Muscat – Oman LNG, through its Development Foundation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Oman Maritime Sports Committee (OMSC), reinforcing their joint dedication to developing marine sports and preserving Oman’s rich maritime legacy.
The agreement aims to encourage broader community participation in maritime-themed cultural and sporting events, supporting both traditional and modern marine sports while strengthening Oman’s national identity.
As part of the collaboration, the two entities will work together to support and sponsor initiatives led by OMSC, share expertise in sports management, and collaborate on volunteer work and event organisation. The MoU also includes training programs to build local talent and enhance coordination in media and marketing to promote the events and their societal impact.
Dr. Amer Nasser Al Mata’eni, CEO of Oman LNG Development Foundation, said the partnership underscores the foundation’s commitment to safeguarding Oman’s maritime heritage and empowering youth and families through active engagement in events that reflect national values and traditions.
