Muscat – Muscat Municipality is continuing its efforts to safeguard essential road infrastructure. The first phase of a project to rehabilitate and maintain bridges across Muscat has been completed, encompassing the refurbishment of 6 bridges at various locations. Preparations are now underway to commence a second phase, which will target an additional 6 bridges, bringing the total number of structures included in the plan to 12.
The renovation work involves repairing deteriorating concrete elements, replacing expansion joints, restoring piers and structural supports. These measures are intended to enhance road safety, boost structural efficiency, and prolong the lifespan of the structures.
The Municipality affirms that these projects are being executed in adherence to the highest quality standards. It is coordinating closely with relevant authorities to mitigate traffic disruption and calls on the community for cooperation and compliance with safety guidelines at maintenance sites.
