Washington, USA – The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Washington D.C. has issued a formal advisory to Omani citizens currently residing in the United States (US), urging them to exercise the highest level of caution. This warning comes in response to reports of an impending severe snowstorm expected to impact several regions across the country. Meteorological forecasts indicate that the Midwest and East Coast areas are particularly at risk during this period.

The embassy has called upon its nationals to strictly adhere to all safety instructions and guidelines provided by local and federal American authorities. Citizens are advised to take all necessary precautions to mitigate the risks associated with the storm, including heavy snowfall, ice accumulation, and extreme drops in temperature. Furthermore, the embassy emphasised the importance of maintaining communication during emergencies and has provided a dedicated 24-hour emergency contact number +1(202) 390-6650 for those in need of immediate assistance.
