Tunisia – Oman and Tunisia held high-level political consultations in Tunis on Wednesday, led by H E Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, and Mohamed Ali Nafti, Tunisia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad.

The meeting, held at the Tunisian Foreign Ministry headquarters, reflected the two countries’ strong and enduring ties, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening cooperation across political, economic, and cultural domains.

Discussions focused on enhancing investment opportunities and strengthening trade. Both ministers encouraged greater engagement from private sector entities and investment bodies to drive economic collaboration. Key sectors identified for joint development included tourism, transport, renewable energy, food security, pharmaceuticals, and technology.

The two sides also addressed regional and international developments, reiterating their shared commitment to peaceful dialogue and multilateral coordination to support regional stability.

The meeting was attended by Hilal al Sinani, Oman’s Ambassador to Tunisia, and Sheikh Faisal Omar al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department at Oman’s Foreign Ministry.
