Muscat – The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the recent announcements by the Prime Ministers of Canada and Malta regarding their intention to formally recognize the State of Palestine.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Oman views this diplomatic development as a significant and concrete step toward affirming the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to self-determination.
The Ministry emphasized that such actions represent meaningful progress toward realizing the international community’s longstanding call for a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. Oman reaffirmed its support for efforts that aim to achieve a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the Middle East.
