Muscat – Royal Oman Police (ROP) arrested an expatriate of Asian nationality following a hit-and-run accident in Muscat. The suspect reportedly fled the scene immediately after striking a young girl with his vehicle, leaving her with injuries of moderate severity.

Emergency services attended to the child at the site of the incident before she was transported for medical treatment. Following a swift investigation and search operation, authorities were able to track down and detain the individual. The Royal Oman Police confirmed that legal proceedings are currently being finalised against the driver to ensure justice is served.
