Muscat – The Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Labour have announced the launch of the 2025 recruitment drive for new soldiers in the Royal Army of Oman. The initiative seeks both male and female candidates who hold a General Education Diploma (Grade 12), offering them an opportunity to serve in the Sultanate’s prestigious armed forces.

The application period will run from Saturday, October 4, 2025, until Saturday, October 11, 2025. Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications via SMS, using the format: Opportunity Number # Civil ID Number (AT) and sending it to 80057.

The recruitment campaign includes openings for the position of New Soldier for both men and women, as well as Musician positions for men. Each role has specific requirements that applicants must meet.

Authorities have encouraged prospective candidates to carefully review the eligibility criteria and submit their applications within the specified period. The Royal Army of Oman has emphasised that this recruitment drive represents an important opportunity for young Omanis to contribute to the nation’s defence while building a rewarding career in the military.
