Muscat -Foreign Minister H E Sayyid Badr, held a high-level telephone conversation with his Venezuelan counterpart, Yvan Gil Pinto, to discuss the ongoing political and social developments within the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. During the exchange, both ministers reviewed the latest updates regarding the internal situation in Venezuela, underscoring the necessity of maintaining regional stability through constructive engagement.

Central to the discussions was a mutual reaffirmation of the core principles of international law and the United Nations Charter. The two diplomats emphasised the vital importance of respecting national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity as fundamental pillars of global order. Furthermore, the Sultanate and Venezuela highlighted the need for all parties to adhere to the path of peaceful dialogue and diplomatic negotiations to resolve outstanding issues, ensuring the continued safety and unity of the Venezuelan state.
