Muscat – The fourth edition of the ‘Together Forward’ forum, organised by the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers, will begin on Sunday as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen communication between the government and society.
The forum reflects the approach of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in promoting dialogue with citizens and taking into account their views, suggestions and aspirations across various sectors.
A select group of citizens from different backgrounds will take part in the forum alongside a number of Their Highnesses, Excellencies and senior officials. The platform is designed to familiarise participants with government policies, programmes and development initiatives, while enabling them to share opinions, proposals and challenges directly with decision-makers in a constructive setting.
The event will be supported by the ‘Idea Makers – Hamat’ programme, implemented in partnership with Oman Investment Authority. The programme focuses on encouraging innovation, supporting talented youth, contributing to sustainable development and promoting active citizenship. Competitions under the programme were launched recently across all governorates and recorded strong participation.
This year’s forum will also feature an exhibition called ‘Present Achievements and Future Visions’, showcasing achievements and community contributions by a number of national institutions.
