Nizwa – Royal Oman Police (ROP) have reported a significant traffic disruption on Sultan Thuwaini bin Said Road following the overturning of a truck. The incident occurred shortly after the Izki bridge, affecting the carriageway heading towards the Wilayat of Nizwa. The truck articulated on its side with its cargo of industrial piping scattered across the tarmac, completely obstructing the flow of traffic.

In response to the blockage, emergency services and police units have been deployed to manage the scene and initiate recovery operations. To mitigate congestion, authorities have implemented a mandatory traffic diversion, redirecting all motorists from Izki toward the internal Birkat Al Mouz road. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and follow the temporary signage until the wreckage is cleared and the main thoroughfare is declared safe for public use.
