Kesha has unveiled “Smash”, a new platform designed to help creators connect, collaborate, and keep full rights to their work.
Kesha says Smash was born from her own struggles with “predatory deals” she signed at 18, which led to a long battle to reclaim her voice and image. “My goal is to shift the power structure of the music business towards creators” Kesha explained.
Serving as CEO, Kesha developed Smash alongside tech and music veterans. The platform offers a professional community and marketplace for music makers to hire, collaborate, and avoid industry gatekeepers.
Kesha said “artists often sign contracts without knowing what they’re giving away.” “Smash is a place where creators can work together and retain all rights to their creations.”
