Oman is now in mourning
Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf has sadly died.
There will be a three-day mourning period across Oman to show solidarity with our Arab brothers and sisters in Kuwait.
The mourning period will include; the lowering of flags at half-mast and suspending work in the government and private sectors for three days, starting today, Saturday, 16th December. Work will resume on Tuesday,19th December.
“With great sadness and sorrow, we the Kuwaiti people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and the friendly peoples of the world mourn the late His Highness the Emir, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, who passed away to his Lord today,” Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah al-Sabah, the minister of his emiri court, said in a statement on TV.
