Pharrell Williams has scored big at the 2025 Footwear News Achievement Awards, with his Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish sneaker taking home Shoe Of The Year.
The musician and designer said he wanted the shoe to “feel alive, fluid, futuristic, and free,” inspired by the movement and glow of water.
The result was one of Adidas’ boldest and most talked-about releases of 2025.
Footwear News praised Pharrell’s ability to “connect culture, community, and craft” through his creative partnership with Adidas.
The “Shoe Oscars” will be held on December 3rd at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York, also honouring Coco Gauff, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ronnie Fieg.
