Muscat – As Oman continues to diversify its tourism offerings, citizens and residents propose projects that blend sustainability, culture and global appeal. What tourism project or landmark would you like to see in Oman in the new year? Here is what Muscat Daily readers said:

I would love to see a world-class desert observatory in Sharqiyah Sands, combining astronomy, eco-lodges and bedouin storytelling. Oman’s clear skies are a natural advantage. Such a project would attract science lovers, families and responsible travellers, while preserving the desert’s silence and cultural wisdom.

A national maritime heritage park along the Muttrah–Qantab coast would be special. It could showcase dhow-building, pearl diving history, interactive museums and sea-to-table dining. Oman’s relationship with the ocean is deep, and this landmark would educate visitors while creating pride and jobs for locals.
