In a series of emotional Instagram posts, the 31-year-old said he felt rewarded for his talent but not always protected, admitting the pressure left wounds that fans never saw on stage.
Bieber credited his Christian faith for helping him heal, saying he no longer speaks as a victim but as someone restored and determined to see the industry transformed rather than destroyed.
Although he returned to music this year with albums Swag and Swag II, he has admitted he is reluctant to tour again wanting to avoid long periods away from his wife, Hailey and their son, Jack.
